True Sessions is founded by executive producer and singer/songwriter Demetruest and brought to life by Truistic Media. Every volume is an intimate, invite-your-people taping — a multi-sensory pairing experience: a full live band, a curated flower pairing, a room that leans in, and a conversation that goes somewhere real — captured as an episode you can stream after the smoke clears.
We exist to de-stigmatize cannabis, celebrate Black and queer artistry, and build something that feels alive in the room — and lasts long after.

Every session digs into the flower as much as the music — terpene pairing, harm reduction, and how a strain actually shapes a mood. Education first, menu never.

The science behind the sound
Terpenes are the aromatic compounds that give a strain its character — the reason one jar smells like a citrus grove and another like a rainforest floor. They shape the experience as much as anything on the label, and at True Sessions they get talked about the way we talk about arrangements. Still picking by indica or sativa? That’s the conversation we’re here to upgrade.

Myrcene
The most common terpene in cannabis — and the one hops are famous for. Also found in mango, lemongrass, thyme, and bay laurel. Deep, mellow, settle-into-the-couch energy.

Caryophyllene
The bite in black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon. It’s the only terpene known to also act like a cannabinoid — it binds CB2 receptors directly. Grounding, body-forward, stress-off-the-shoulders.

Citrus · Bright · Clean
Limonene
Straight off the rind — lemon, orange, grapefruit. The third most common terpene in cannabis, and the one aromatherapy leans on for a lift. Bright, zesty, first-single energy.
